Within the broad context of CBNRM and related approaches, and taking into consideration its Tools, Services and Activities, CBNRM Networking's mission is to serve the global CBNRM Community of Practise (CoP).

Mission statement
Cater to and service all stakeholders working on CBNRM, broadly understood, across all issues, ecosystems and sectors, whether concerned with, inter alia, evaluation, funding, management, practice or theory. This will be achieved through a parallel emphasis on communication, knowledge management and capacity building, utilizing relevant Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). The goal is to establish and support a global CBNRM network and CoP.
